The Story Behind The Lens

Hi there! I'm Rene Põder, a photographer originally from Narva, Estonia and open to projects beyond borders. Photography has been a significant part of my life for over a decade, evolving from a personal passion into my professional focus.

My evolution

I began my journey as a nature and landscape photographer. Those early years were invaluable - they taught me all the technical fundamentals of working with a camera, understanding light and crafting compositions. Over time, my interest shifted completely. I found myself drawn to photographing people and creating images that go beyond the everyday.

A young man with glasses, wearing a white textured sweater over a collared shirt, standing with arms crossed against a dark background.
A person in winter gear, wearing sunglasses, a beanie, and a backpack, takes a selfie on a snow-covered landscape near a frozen body of water with ice mounds and a bright sun overhead.

The experience I create

I believe a photoshoot should be an experience - something special and out of the ordinary. When you step in front of my camera, it's an opportunity to transform, to embody a different mood, style, or version of yourself through creative direction, styling, and expression. I'm inspired by editorial aesthetics and bold visual storytelling that pushes creative boundaries.

What you can expect

When someone invests in photography, the results should be extraordinary - images that create a "wow" reaction. I focus on creating striking visuals with distinct moods and vibes, working collaboratively to bring concepts to life. My goal is to deliver something memorable, polished, and truly remarkable.

Let's create something extraordinary together.
